Check frequently with the CDC at https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/index.html and the Maryland government at https://coronavirus.maryland.gov for status updates on the virus. Be skeptical of information on social media.
The Pinnacle Center is monitoring developments and will continue to reevaluate next steps and actions daily. Please be assured that further communications from us will continue in the event new information directly impacts our practice. You can contact your clinician directly, check our website at www.pinnaclecenter.com, or call our main number 301-705-7593.
If you feel sick with cold or flu-like symptoms, stay home out of precaution. COVID-19 symptoms are cough, fever, and difficulty breathing. If you experience these symptoms, contact your doctor or the ER immediately. If you have had contact with an infected person your symptoms should develop within 14 days. Most people develop symptoms around day 5 after contact.
Because of the spread of the virus, we have decided to limit our services to tele-therapy sessions. All health insurance companies have recently authorized tele-therapy as a covered benefit. All you need is a computer, tablet, or smart phone and a private space. We use the tele-therapy system at https://doxy.me. Your clinician can provide you a special web address at which you will be able to connect with him or her. Doxy is a secure point-to-point system that complies with HIPAA.
Understandably, our highest priority is ensuring the health and safety of our clients and clinicians. To maximize your protection, please refrain from shaking hands and touching your face. Thoroughly wash your hands frequently with soap and hot water and use alcohol-based hand sanitizers. Sneeze and cough into a tissue and then throw it away – wash your hands afterwards.
